  • Maintain weight.
     
  • Avoid smoking.
     
  • Relax for considerable time but get involved in simple exercises. Yoga, tai chi and massaging help greatly to get rid of back problems. 
     
  • Keep moving and get involved in routine work. Biking, walking, swimming and other activities help you to recover from back aches and other problems related to your back.
     
  • Be positive – Negative thoughts often aggravate the problems of your backs whereas positive ones always make you feel energized. Positivity in all respects works wonders and for back pains too.
     
  • Stretching – Many of us remain busy with our day to day routine tasks. Our body including the back also gets engaged in different postures. We must take off from our routine jobs at frequent intervals and stretch the whole body that will soothe your back.
     
  • Get involved in contact and racquet sports. Golf may also give fruitful results to stay away from back problems. Same is true with jogging that not only refreshes you but also energizes your back.

Simple exercises, good food habits, staying away from junk foods / alcohol / smoking and other harmful activities can help you to say NO to back aches and related compilations. Certain creams and lotions also give good relief from the problematic situations due to back problems. Do consult the doctor if the problem is too serious.
